September 8, 2020 - Time For An Update
Today I went for my fifth infusion and to get the results of my CT Scan I had done 2 weeks ago. Talk about keeping a guy in suspense! Anyway the cancer is stabilized. No knew growth but no improvement either. From what the doctor says this is what we were hoping for. According to him this is a good thing. Of course, I had much bigger expectations, but I am very happy that it is stabilized. At least it is not getting worse.
Now according to the world’s way of thinking and the medical industry machine, their view of Stage 4 Cancer is the best they can do is to prolong your life. According to my Father (God) who just happens to be the smartest in the universe, healing cancer is a no big deal. So, I’m betting this is all part of the plan. You see God likes to do things in a big way. He always does something that will let you know it could only be Him, least any man boast if you know what I mean.
For the past couple of weeks I started dealing with some fatigue, slightly blurred vision, and some nausea, so they pulled me off the Inlyta which they felt might be the one causing it and today I feel much better. They are setting up an appointment for an ophthalmologist (eye doctor) to be on the safe side. Good news is Inlyta is not the only drug of its kind so they can try something else if it is causing the problem. We shall see.
Now what do I intend to do at this point? Glad you asked! First, I am going to expand my exercise by starting on my Rebounder Trampoline and add in some strength training. Second, I have learned that I don’t make a good vegetarian, so I am going to add in some meat, but limit my consumption and continue with as much veggies, smoothies, and juicing as I can. Also going to add back in some healthy breads, increase my supplements, and try some natural detox methods I have been reading about. And of course, eat organic as much as I can afford. That stuff gets expensive.
I will post as much as I can, but I have started two huge projects which are eating up a lot of my time. First, I have dusted off all of the guitars and set my studio back up and Sharon and I are beginning work on our music. Second, we have joined forces with an author in Iowa and her publisher in Nashville to write a book about my dad’s life and music career – incredible amount of work!!
If you’re a person who is facing what I am facing, don’t stop dreaming, Don’t stop making plans. Don’t give up on the things you want to do and achieve. And most important of all is to listen to God’s voice and do the things he has called you to do. Each one of you have a gift that God gave you, but it is up to you to do something with it for the glory of God.
I love all of you and so does God,
